Hanging Rock Cambrian Ranges Shiraz 2022

2022 was a traditionally warm and dry year in Heathcote. This is one of Heathcote’s major draw cards as there is little chance of disease which means that the vineyards can be run close to, if not organically. The resulting wine is what we come to expect from Heathcote, it’s rich and powerful with a great tannin structure and a natural acid balance. Cambrian Rise will always include components from a number of Heathcote Shiraz vineyards and its composition will vary from vintage to vintage. Being a slightly warmer year the majority of the fruit for this vintage came from the middle and more southerly part of the region. By taking fruit from a number of vineyards we are able to add complexity to the wine whilst also taking seasonal variations into consideration.
