Helm is one of the most iconic names in all Australian Riesling.
Considered Canberra's best producer of riesling by James Halliday, he was one of the pioneers for this variety in the region and has been one of the big players in the cool climate wine revolution. For over 40 years he has set the regional pace for the variety.
Due to bad frost in Canberra, this 2024 release is a blend of fruit from Ken's favoured vineyards in Orange, Tumbarumba and Mudgee. All about fruit purity and concentration, this has 'Helm Riesling' written all over it, and will be much-loved from regular fans of this wonderful producer.

When October '23 frosts wiped out Ken Helm’s crop, he turned to Orange and Mudgee for fruit. The combo works beautifully here. Lemon blossom and ginger flower, an infusion of orange/lime/lemon, green apple and a touch of beeswax. The palate has some texture yet largely superfine acidity drives this long. Nice one. 2024 Vintage - Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion 2025
