From vines planted in 1971. Hand-picked, destemmed, fermented separately on skins for 18 days, matured for 15 months in high quality French barrels. Dark chocolate, ripe black berry, flowers, garden herbs and spicy biscuit oak. Full bodied but not heavy. Rich in flavours of cocoa, baking spices and sage leae a powerful finish. Rich tannins with a surprisingly fresh finish.
