This is quite thick and chewy but has all the scintillating acidity and a good deal of honeyed richness. It all works harmoniously, dialling in a very serious expression of the variety, a kind of golden Synesthesia with red apple, green mango, tamarillo fruit characters with alpine herb, preserved lemon and pickled ginger as highlights. Medium weight riesling but also savoury and dry. It’s packed with character, drinking like a charismatic chardonnay or chenin or such. How wonderful. A gourmand wine. 95 Points Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
