From En Capitain and the delightfully named Bottes de Chat, on granite and blue marl soils. 60% whole bunch, slow to ferment so four weeks on skins followed by a mix of ageing vessels. A more concentrated purple colour than the Fleuries. More backward, more muscle. Almost some blue fruit, many more tannins, punchy stuff, 14.5% alcohol which it can certainly carry.
