Oaked is our bold take on an American-style rum — made using new virgin barrels, just like bourbon. That fresh oak gives it a loud, proud flavour that doesn’t mind being the centre of attention.
It’s part of our Small Batch range and, while it hasn’t quite done the full two years in barrel to be called “rum” under Aussie law, we’re loving it all the same.
We start with our smooth, award winning Silver spirit, then rest it in small format barrels (37, 60, or 100 litres) — mostly American oak, but every now and then we play with a bit of French. Each batch develops its own character, shaped by the barrel it calls home.
The result? A barrel-forward spirit where our signature butterscotch sweetness from Silver shines through, wrapped in the warmth, vanilla and spice of the oak. Try it neat — it’s got attitude — or mix it into your favourite cocktail for a bit of bite.
