Drawn from six different vineyard sites in the Kumeu region this Chardonnay is 100% barrel and malo-latic fermented then matured for 11 months.
Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and citrus mix with biscuity oak, faint bees wax and gun flint. Fresh citrusy acidity underpins flavours of pear, lime and green apple with some delicate biscuit, bees wax and gun flint elements in the distance. Finishes dry with an elegant, saline energised aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
