Pinot Noir grown on clay and limestone. The vines are of various ages, and it’s cooler site, with excellent drainage. 100% whole bunch. Three day cold soak, followed by semi-carbonic maceration, with a little punching down afterwards for extraction.Aged in 228L seasoned barrels for 12 months. Settled in tank for a further 5 months. Not fined or filtered. Wow! Expressive and elevating perfume. A whirlpool of aromas – violets, plums, cherries, blueberries, sweet oriental spices – you get lost in the glass with so many senses ignited. Glides over the palate like silk. Seamless. Hypnotising. Black cherries, plenty of spice and firm tannins. Serious with more authority - young for now, but already a real treat! Importer Notes
