Rich, hidden nose promising all sorts of exciting things. Thick, sweet fruit when it hits the palate followed by layers of explosive interest. There is a great deal of tannin here but it is well covered by slicks of dramatic rich Cabernet fruit (the wine contains four per cent Cabernet Franc and two per cent Petit Verdot). Quite plummy.
