Naked Run The First got its name simply by being the first wine they made. The Riesling comes from a single vineyard in the Sevenhill sub-region of Clare Valley. It is treated like Classic Clare Riesling to maintain all the charm of the region.
Naked Run The First is floral, lemony with a hint of spice. The palate has powerful steely acid, nice mid-palate flesh and a chalky grip. It looks lovely now and offers the promise to improve, drink it after 2028.
Naked Run simply want to make good wine by starting in the vineyard and nursing it to bottle. Naked Run make classic grapes from great vineyards in traditional South Australian regions. The wines they make offer the holy grail of interest for wine lovers and great value. Plus, they are so tasty you'll want to drink them regularly.

"The colour is pale and the dominant aromas are of freshly-picked green garden herbs; it smacks of early-harvested grapes. Suggestions of chamomile and lavender. The wine is both delicate and intense in the mouth, finely trimmed and taut, light-bodied and refined, with good length and tension, finishing classically dry."
