A true-to-region shiraz that delivers a bold, rich hit of ripe forest berries, currants and raisins, dried fig and date, dark chocolate and black olive characters, all dosed up with sage leaf, salt bush and aniseed. Nicely played. Generous and full, well balanced. A ripple of drinking chocolate powder tannin and a pleasing stretch of spicy flavour make for inherent pleasure and seriousness. Serious stuff, done well.
