Olmeca Altos Reposado is a tequila produced in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The term "reposado" means "rested" in Spanish, indicating that this particular tequila has been aged for a certain period of time in oak barrels, but not as long as an añejo (or "aged") tequila. The aging process lends reposados a smoother character compared to the younger "blanco" or "silver" tequilas, and it imparts some of the flavors and colors from the oak barrels.
