Penfolds RWT 2004 is a single-region Barossa Valley Shiraz, matured entirely in French oak. It's known for its opulent and fleshy style, offering a distinct counterpoint to the more muscular Grange. The 2004 vintage is considered a classic.
Tasting Note:
Nose: Aromas of sweet dark fruits, particularly blueberry and plum, leap from the glass, accompanied by complex notes of spice and a suggestion of cedary oak.
Palate: The palate is at once opulent, juicy, and mouthwatering, showcasing a compote of red and blue berries, Satsuma plum, and cherry.
