A deep, measured and elegant Barossa shiraz whose complex and faintly meaty bouquet of blackberries, cassis, redcurrants and blood plums reveals fresh, faintly chocolatey cedar/vanilla oak lifted by suggestions of cracked pepper, eastern spices and baked earth. It’s long and complete, unfolding a charming drive of flavour underpinned by firm, fine tannins and building towards a lingering finish of dark fruit, licorice and a suggestion of roasting meats.
