Pierre Luneau Papin La Grange Muscadet 2022

Papin La Grange is a delicious wine of depth. Long has Muscadet been celebrated as the wine to pair with oysters. But now, with producers like Papin, Muscadet is the wine for people looking for new, exciting flavours and textures to add to their repertoire. I love the pure white fruits supported by the schisty/smoky notes and most of all, the interplay between the bitey acid and the wonderfully mid-palate weight. Highly recommended for people who love lighter Chardonnay, Riesling or anything from the Loire Valley. Pierre Luneau-Papin hails from a long line of vignerons. The Luneau family is well established in the region; their presence here may be traced as far back as the late 17th Century and Pierre Luneau is the thirteenth generation of his family to bear the name Pierre. Small batches are vinified separately to craft distinctly and impressive cuvees from Muscadet. With 38 hectares planted this is one of the definitive estates of the region.
