Chardonnay sourced from the Pooley Butchers Hill vineyard in Richmond, Coal River Valley, 40% new French oak. Juicy white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits flecked with cinnamon, clotted cream, vanillin oak, meadow flowers, stone and soft spice. Again the composition and balance is spot on, the mineral focus sleek and beautifully framed and the length of flavour is impressive, with a vapour trail of pure stone, citrus, spice and crème fraîche. Such a graceful wine. 96 Points Dave Brookes, THE HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION Pink grapefruit, lemon oil, aniseed, cashew and cedar, a chamomile perfume and white peach. It’s gently chalky in texture, a little nutty and umami, biscuit spice oak, balanced acidity, with some grilled nuts and a saline finish of excellent length. Lovely wine. Fine and distinctive. Yum. Touch and go for 96 points really. 95 Points Gary Walsh, THE WINE FRONT
