The 2013 Prunotto Barolo Bussia is a refined expression of Nebbiolo from the Bussia vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. It presents a complex bouquet of wild forrest berries, dried roses, new leather, and aromatic herbs. The palate reveals tart wild cherry and subtle savoury oak influences, cloves and dried thyme. Flavours are well integrated and quite mellow, making this a very enjoyable wine that’s light to medium bodied and still supported by freshness from an even level of acidity and polished, finely grained tannins. It is very approachable now having hit it’s optimum drinking window from now, through to 2035.
