About This Whiskey This distillery-exclusive Redbreast release was created in collaboration with Master Blender Billy Leighton and Blender Dave McCabe. The whiskey combines the three styles of spirit produced at the Midleton distillery, including the rare “heavy pot” style, giving the whiskey additional weight and character. It is matured in a mix of PX sherry, Oloroso sherry, European oak and American oak casks, building layers of fruit richness, spice and depth. Although labelled as a 10-year-old expression, the marriage also includes older components from 14–16 year old casks. Tasting Notes Nose: Dark berry fruits, orange zest, hazelnut and chocolate. Palate: Sticky blackcurrants and blackberries layered with classic pot still spices. Finish: Oak spice with woodland fruits and lingering warmth. About the Producer Redbreast is one of the most celebrated names in Irish whiskey and a benchmark of the traditional Single Pot Still style. Produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Redbreast traces its origins to the 19th century when whiskey merchant W & A Gilbey sourced new make spirit from Jameson and matured it in their own casks. Today, Redbreast remains one of the purest expressions of Irish pot still whiskey, made from a mash bill of malted and unmalted barley and distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Known for its rich texture, spice and sherry-cask complexity, Redbreast has become a cult favourite among whiskey enthusiasts worldwide. Specifications Age: 10 Years Old Spirit Type: Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Country: Ireland Maturation: PX Sherry, Oloroso Sherry, European Oak and American Oak casks Alcohol: 43% Bottle Size: 700ml
