Smoky scents of violets, black and blue berries, vanilla, cedar and coconut are lifted by a note of cracked pepper. Long and polished, it’s smooth and handsomely oaked, with a plush but gentle core of blackberries, blueberries and blood plums framed by fine tannins and wrapped in soft acids. Very measured and approachable but able to cellar – a terrific Barossa shiraz.
