The Barossa is renowned as the birthplace of Australia's Shiraz, producing many of the country’s most famous wines. Recently, Fraser McKinley has been innovating in this storied region, striving for purer and more balanced wines. Formerly with Standish Wine Company and Torbreck Vintners, Fraser began a new venture in 2006, founding the boutique winery Sami-Odi. He produces exceptional Syrah (not Shiraz) in tiny quantities, carefully selecting plots from top vineyards and vinifying them separately to craft unique cuvées that highlight their strengths.
An unvintaged ‘assemblage’ composed of casks from 2018 (48%), 2017 (29%), 2016 (12%), 2015 (9%) & 2012 (2%). Exclusively sourced from our treasured plots within the Hoffmann’s ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard from vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1960 & the oldest vines planted prior to 1912.
