Sentio Wines - Black Springs Vineyard Chardonnay - 2024

The Black Springs vineyard, now wholly farmed by Sentio, produces superb Chardonnay and Nebbiolo. Planted at 500m ASL on classic Beechworth decomposing granitic sands, it sits on the same ridgeline as Savaterre and Giaconda, further up the hill on the drive into Beechworth. Picked in 'high 12's', the resulting wine has all the hallmarks of great Beechworth Chardonnay with 2024 expression showing ripe citrus, green stone-fruit, a touch of white chocolate/nougat and all the intensity expected.
