A contrasting site and style to the Yarra Valley chardonnay, Captains Creek hails from Blampied, is grown high (550m), and shows an edgy fineness of expression. Steely and tensile with a chalky, lightly savoury compactness. Tangy white peach and white nectarine, Meyer lemon, almond meal, fresh sourdough bread and nougat.
