Alcohol: 21.0%
Bottle Size: 750ml
About:
The heart and soul of Seppeltsfield’s fortified collection, the Para range has been synonymous with luxurious aged fortified wines for over a century. Named after the river that meanders through the Barossa, the Para Grand Tawny represents the house’s signature mature style—rich, complex, and beautifully balanced.
Winemaking:
Crafted using Seppeltsfield’s solera system, the Para Grand Tawny matures in small oak casks until each component reaches an average age of 10 years. Fortified with brandy spirit, it develops aromatic notes of toasted almonds and vanilla, while the solera blending process ensures consistency, depth, and freshness across vintages.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep mahogany with rich amber hues.
Aroma: Lifted, stylish bouquet of toasted nuts, praline, and vanilla nougat.
Palate: Medium-bodied with long flavours of spiced nuts and almond skins, balanced by a creamy, brandy-infused richness.
Cheese Pairing: Mature Australian cheddar.
Dessert Pairing: Pistachio and almond cake with citrus syrup.
Consumption: Store in a cool, dark place after opening to preserve freshness.
