Shaw and Smith Pinot Noir is pretty. It shows smoke, chocolate, plum, and hints at purple pulp, sarsaparilla, and aromatic spice. The palate is light with red, and blue fruits, there is a line of acid which keeps it fresh and the tannins are very soft. Shaw and Smith Pinot Noir reminds me of wines I've had in the past, where they just need to stretch and unfold in their own time. Whenever you open this wine, give it as much air as possible.
Shaw and Smith is a brilliant producer making wine from the Adelaide Hills region. Beautifully set up, Shaw and Smith have a strong focus on quality and sustainability. The team at Shaw and Smith are constantly making some of the best Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Shiraz in the country.
