Textural Barossa white blend with lychee, white peach, bright citrus and a fresh, layered finish.
About The Wine
Sigurd White Blend 2023 is a vibrant South Australian white that brings together freshness, texture and aromatic lift in a beautifully modern style. The blend combines Semillon, Vermentino, Viognier and Muscat of Alexandria, with limited skin contact helping build extra shape and interest across the palate. It is bright, expressive and easy to enjoy, while still offering plenty of detail and complexity.
Halliday Wine Companion - 94 Points
70/20/7/3% semillon/vermentino/viognier/muscat of Alexandria. From the organic Bassham vineyard in the Riverland and Lionwill Estate in Vine Vale. This is a compelling blend of grapes and methods, with some skin contact and both solo and co-ferments. A bright, light gold with a faint haze. It’s both salty and textural, with peach iced tea, grapefruit, white cherry, lime pickle, jalapeño, coriander seed, wild grasses, tangerine peel, fresh bay leaf and an appealing lacto-ferment pickle-like prickle. Faintly slippery, tensioned with alert acidity and citric pithiness; this packs a lot of flavour, and a lot of appeal, at modest alcohol. Delightful. Marcus Ellis
