Joe Holyman's entry level Tamar chardonnay is a cracker. It's a textural, lipsmacking style that's flush with grapefruit, lemon and peach tones and hints of soft spice, marzipan, parmesan rind, steel-cut oats, wildflowers, struck flint, sea spray and crushed riverstone. Precise and finely honed with a vivid minerally cadence and an almost Chablis-esque malic cut across the tongue.
